“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Romans 13:1 (KJV)
Don Stewart Ministries or I personaly have never endorsed a political candidate and I don’t want to start now. We had two great candidates. John McCain is a great war hero and I am grateful to him for his commitment and service to this country. We should pray for him and his family.
However, I would like to say that ever since I saw the injustices done to African Americans in the early sixties, injustices that I witnessed myself integrating our meetings in the south, I have longed for the day when America would elect an African American President.
Only 22 years old and just beginning my ministry, I’ll never forget the humiliation of police officers marching down the center aisle in 1963 of the Don Stewart Miracle tent revival in Charleston S.C. and pulling me off the stage in handcuffs, for what they said was, “disturbing the peace.” The next morning I was lead from a jail cell into the courtroom where the white judge began to lecture me for allowing, “…those N-words to sit next to white folks!” The courtroom was full of my black followers from the night before. Somehow they had learned of the hearing. They began praising God and one elderly woman spoke in tongues. Then another interpreted and said, “Harm not Don Stewart the servant of the Lord!” The judge was completely flustered and even seemed afraid. He pounded his gavel to no avail. Then called me to the rostrum and spoke to me under the noise so that only I could hear, “If I let you go will you just close your services by 10:30?” I said, “Yes your honor.” And the case was dismissed. I have always been humbled, honored, and proud of the love and support Don Stewart Ministries and I have received from the African American community.
The gift of Don Stewart Ministries has always been the gift of hope. The message and calling of Don Stewart Ministries is the message of hope. My prayer and the prayer of Don Stewart Ministries is that African American children as well as the children of all races will now believe that anyone can become president. Don Stewart Ministries is committed to seeing this happen. We are seeing Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream come true.
Did God appoint Barack Obama to become our President? In the New King James version of Romans 13:1 the bible says it this way, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” Regardless of how you voted I believe that its God’s will that we pray for Barack Obama and his family as the scripture instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:1 (NKJV), “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

No matter what your politics are, it was a historic day…
November 6, 2008 at 5:37 pm |
This sounds like just the advice I gave my 12 year old son on election night. No matter what our politics, we are to pray for our leaders….
November 6, 2008 at 5:46 pm |
Don,
Your message is not only well timed, but also very appropriate. I along with many others I am sure believe that the message of God’s word is not only the foundation of His Church, but also that our our communities. It is not a matter of “red or blue”, but of God fearing individuals putting into practice what they have always believed in their hearts. Our world is changing at an unprecidented rate and the only way people of all nations, color and creed can survive is to see Jesus in our brothers and sisters.
I would hope that you would use the tools available in this day and age to reach out to more people as you have done here–addressing important issues that face our churches and communities. Very well done.
Blessings,
Geo.Z

Well stated! I do believe God has placed Obama in office and it is our responsibility to pray for him and all of our leaders.
November 6, 2008 at 6:16 pm |
Barack Obama purpose on this earth was to become the President of the United State of America, everyone is saying that he is fulfilling Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech but that speech was ordained from God he said in the message “that he had a dream, that his four children would not be judge by the colour of their skin but by their intellect. And that message was for the King’s children as well as all the black people in the world who were under the injustice of slavery. After 45 years, we have realised the promise of God in that message because we are no longer being judge by the colour of our skin but through intellect neither any of the King’s children. Barack Obama was not judge by the colour of his skin in this election but by his intellect, people were impress with how this man would prepare his speeches and would any paper stand-up and deliver it (That the intellect mention in King’s speech was manifested for everyone to see and take notice of) . Barack Obama was two years old when that speech was read and before he was formed in his mother’s womb God ordained his purpose on this earth and that was to be the President of the United Staes of America, when Martin Luther King did his speech could we have think or imagine that the USA would have been attack by terrorist, and the answer to that is NO, so God orchestrated his destiny: his name, his parents (a black man a white woman), his dedicated wife and his children. But from a biblical point of view, this is teaching us that before we were formed he knows us and he set us purpose before we were form, Rev Stewart this is a perfect example of that word.
November 6, 2008 at 6:32 pm |
Yes he was ordained my God if he wasn’t ordained of God he would not be the president of the United Stated. I believe God hand is in it and all we have to do is continue to pray for him that he will be humble to listen to the still small voice.
November 6, 2008 at 7:06 pm |
Barack Obama is the man choosen by God for God gives the kind of leader that reflects the hearts of the people. In saying that, I believe America is under judgement because of her sin. You cannot tell me that a country that aborts its babies by the millions, allows homeosexuality, allows prayer to be removed from the schools, and wants to devide Isreal, is going to be a country blessed. I believe this Obama will prove out to bring Change alright, and America will have a rude awakening.
November 6, 2008 at 7:07 pm |
I am not against the man or his heritage but I am against aborting little babies who have no say so in the matter. I am against anyone who says it’s ok for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman.
That’s against nature, against God’s Word, against all common judgement.
Everyone in this election was only concerned about the Economy. No body spoke out about the Moral Issues.
And there is just too many more issues that don’t agree with God’s Word.
You, as a man of God ought ot know this.

While I am elated that President-elect Obama won, I am as greatly grieved in my spirit that there are still so many “christians” who feel that an African American man does not deserve to sit in the highest office in our land. I read over the months, the bigoted articles written in many of our most famous and well circulated christian magazines and was equally disappointed. I have always and will always teach the people of God to pray for our governmental leaders as the Word of God requires whether Republican, Democrat or Independent.
God Bless You Bro. Stewart and thank you for your insight and reflections…

Pastor Stewart I agree with you totally. I am an African- American and also am a registered Republican. I voted for Barack Obama not because he was black, but because I felt that he was the best candidate. It is often said that the most segregated places in the world are churches on Sunday. This is a sad statement for the church, but true. You are the first white christian leader that I have heard say that God appointed Barack Obama using the Word of God(Rom 13:1) as a reference. There might be more white christian leaders that agree with you out there, but up until now I have not heard anything. We as Christians must realize that God is neither Republican or Democrat, He is truth and righteousness. Neither party is that. It makes me feel really good to see a white brother like yourself speak the Word of God at such a time as this. If anyone out there knows of any other prominent white pastors that have similar views like Pastor Stewart, please let me know. This is a time for Christians to pray for our President and that he surrounds himself with godly men and women of God. All this fuss about race and racism is nothing but a ploy by the devil to keep us divided and accomplishing the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When we get get to heaven we will all see that God does not care about color. God will see our beautiful spirits that he re-created when accepted Jesus as our Lord. So brothers and sisters lets be about our Father’s business.
Grace & Peace

My very dearest friends are black and I’m white and how dare anyone say to me I did not vote for a man because of his color!!! How can anyone say he is a christian and cast a vote for anyone I don’t care if they are polka dot who approves of abortion, gay marraige who has association with some of the most radical people in our time, there has been questions that he has never answered that needed to be. I agree we need change but just what kind of change is he talking about. I have not spoken against him and will not, but I will do what the Bible says and I will pray for him as God commanded us to do. Perhaps there are a lot of people who should of voted not just on the issue of color. Our nation needs prayer as never before.

Dear Rev Stewart,
I am very happy with the outcome of the U.S elections. However, I’m confused. What is an African American ? Are they Africans or Americans? Being from Canada, we don’t have any African, Italian, Scottish, Irish, Jewish, or Mohawk Canadians. We consider ourselves Canadians and are proud of it.
Cheers, I
November 6, 2008 at 10:06 pm |
I voted for McCain, but as my husband has said about several past elections: “Whether you voted for the winner or not, he’s the President.” I agree with you Rev. Stewart, that President-elect Obama has been ordained by God to be President and we, as Christians, must do a lot of praying. Regardless of his current views and values, I strongly believe that prayer can change them…and change him! Can you imagine what a tremendous testimony that would be if he sold out to God! But to paraphrase what the Hebrew children said before they went into the fiery furnace: “If God doesn’t deliver us and Obama’s values don’t change, God is still God and He will turn everything bad that happens into good for us.” I’ve heard you preach on that topic before Rev. Stewart. I appreciate your viewpoint. I admire you for sticking to your convictions about race in your meetings, even though it meant you were arrested for your beliefs. I also admire some of President-elect Obama’s strengths. It’s such a shame that we have waited so long to have an African American as President. But it’s even more shameful that race is an issue at all. Many of my good friends are African American and I’m white, but we don’t look at the color of each other’s skins, we see each other’s hearts. What a wonderful day it will be when all of America does that!
November 6, 2008 at 10:24 pm |
I am all for equal rights, but I don’t believe this was God’s will. Just like the people cried out for a King and God wanted to be the King, he gave them Saul anyway. (It wasn’t His perfect will. God gives us a free will but I don’t believe for a minute He would choose someone to a pro-choice abortion stance. Remember, He is a just God. Not just for the African Americans, whom I love, but for the unborn as well. Yes, I would’ve have loved to see a Godly African American or a Godly woman for that matter, get voted into office. I don’t believe He goes against His word and I think our country will pay a price for our choice.
PS Does anyone not acknowledge that Obama is also half White!!
November 6, 2008 at 10:56 pm |
I beleive this is a new day in history. I am elated to be a part of it. I believe that God does not do things by accident. He allowed things to get to the point he did to cause his people to move in faith. The children of Isreal cried out to God for a deliverer, God came through. He sent Moses. We as american sried out to God and he came through. He sent Barack Obama.
For me in all this, we have to be patient and wait on God. It does not matter how bad it gets(economy, wars, forclosures etc.) God still hears and he is no shorter than his word. He will come through HE IS FAITHFUL!!!! Tuesday Nove mebr 4, 2008 has proven it.
November 6, 2008 at 11:05 pm |
Please encourage everyone to stay positive, and to pray fervently for Pres. Obama, positive prayers and positive prophetic declarations.
We blew it with Pres. Clinton–he was ripe for a mighty encounter with God but God’s people mostly tore him down with vicious criticism instead of praying the prayer of faith for God to turn him around as only He can. Let’s now blow it again!
November 6, 2008 at 11:09 pm |
Hello,
Church of CHRIST, Listen. Yes I do believe he was placed in this position by GOD. But GOD has also placed many other leaders of nations that have done some horrible things, to prove a point or to do HIS will. Like Pharoah in Moses’ time. GOD placed Pharoah at an appointed time to hold his people captive and to harden Pharoahs’ heart to show HIS power, will and glory.
GOD has done the same today. HE has placed a man, Barack Hussein Obama, who is Kenyan, not Arabian, though his name is Arabic. I trust in GOD that all will work out in HIS plan and for HIS glory.
But I add, I do believe my vote was not influenced by race or color. I voted, as I always do, I vote for the best, moral person running. I agree with some of you out there about where his (Barack’s) votes have been cast or words expressed on abortion, partial birth abortion, gay marraige to mention a few. If we continue to burden ourselves (America) spiritually down with moral degradation we will some day or maybe even today hit rock bottom. And the only way to look at that this point is up to GOD.
Lastly, your life and who you choose to influence you mean alot. Barack has had the most contraversial aquaintances, freinds and financial supporters. This will also dictate who you are, what decisions you make and who will influence you in making those decisions. Pray for our nation, its leaders. ABBA help us!
Grace and Peace,
Danny Duran

i really believe that a healing will happen in the black community due to this…i am very optimistic about President Obama…you are right on about your prayer support…i really believe that the principals of the Word will trump who is in office..any day every day!i believe that God will move and use President Obama mightily…if we pray and believe! Jesus is not of any political part…actually God is opposed to the party-spirit….Jesus is Lord!
November 6, 2008 at 11:14 pm |
I voted for Obama and am glad we finally got a Black President. I appreciate your message and wishe there were more white people who realizes thast we as a Person of Color is just as good as they are in all respect asnd we are children of Go. Keep up the good work.
Love & Peace
November 6, 2008 at 11:34 pm |
For me …it wasn’t about the color of the skin it was about the moral values of the men. And when I compared Obama’s & Mccain’s ….I’ll just say that I voted for Mccain. Obama is just to far left for me. But I do believe that we need to pray for him.
November 6, 2008 at 11:40 pm |
It was a very historic day and although people have different views of Obama as our president, his being elected is another brick in a pathway to equality. I hope that by the time my son is old enough to vote that race, gender, etc will be less of an issue in politics and in general. Whatever your dreams are, they can come true, as long as you work hard and believe in them. Thanks for your insight on such an important day in history.
November 6, 2008 at 11:41 pm |
Everything that Mr. Obama has came from GOD as is with all of us. We must remain focused and steadfast in prayer and remember that GOD is first__and EVERYTHING is about God. We must also remember that GOD raised Moses up to deliver those from Pharaoh. It was NEVER about Moses, but what GOD did. Nothing is too hard for God! But we must put him (GOD) first.
November 7, 2008 at 12:12 am |
Rev Stewart, I am so pleased to have a smart African American President. I really didn’t think I would see this in my lifetime. The main thing about this he is smart and very qualified. I do feel that God is the Author and the finisher of this. He ran a fantastic campaign and he was very professional. I am constanstly praying for him and his Family. I know God will take of him because everything has fallen in place for him which means God is in the midst. God orchestrated this, just as he orchestrated Martin Luther King to March. This is the fulfillment Martin Luther King’s dream. ” ROSA SAT SO KING COULD WALK,KING WALKED SO OBAMA COULD RUN AND OBAMA RAN SO OUR CHILDREN COULD FLY”"
To Kathy Butler, Sweetheart I am sorry to say, but you are in the minority because majority of the people in the United States thinks very different from you. Where did you get this Arabian from. His father is Kenyan(Africa) and his mom is caucasian. How does that result in Arabian. Check your history. You really need to ask God for prayer for yourself.
November 7, 2008 at 12:30 am |
Dear Rev Stewart,
I am blessed by the result, for sure i know God was in the middle cause that morning I prayed and i ask God to choose the best man for the Job, and he chose Obama, i will still keep him in my prayers, cause right now he will need it, but right now the USA has the best man on their side, if i Lucretia, could have voted in the USA i would sure vote of Mr. Obama, cause he was the choosen one by the Mighty Father God, to clean up the USA. and to save my fellow brother and sister from dieing in that war Mr. Bush created.
God Bless

The voice of the people is the voice of God. Judges 4 and 5 tells me that Barak was ordained to set the people free. We are all Gods children. Genesis 1:27 tells me that, we are all brothers and sisters of the Most High. If we cannot love each other how can we love God. The time was right, this is the time, and it also tells the younger generation that anything they want, once they aim for it, they can achieve it. We need a shift in our thinking, and become more aware of Psalms 24:1, The content of our character is more important than the color of your skin, people in the West Indies were behind him. He is the Moses that is being used to bring people together, and set us free. God bless you for your love for the colored people of all nations. Since God is spirit, we do not know what color he is, and we should love each other for to do that is to love God. President elect Obama will continue to unite this world. Be blessed

Hi Don:
This is my second attempt at this, so I hope I can submit it this time.
Congratulations to President Elect Obama !!
I wish him God speed in the heavy burdens that he will be inheriting.
May the Holy Spirit guide him and his advisers and may he pick the right ones.
Even though Hillary Clinton was my candidate of choice for the nomination, I prayed for both her and Barak on the campain trail, for their safety.
We here in Canada are praying for President Elect Obama and wish him much success.
Thank you Don for the opportuity to submit my comments.
November 7, 2008 at 1:22 am |
Pastor and friend i did tell churches and ministers that Obama will wind the president Post God told me so the time is now when the world must place the hope and trust in him he will show signs this time will indicate the coming of the lord he said wise moment will arise and he will pow out his spirit on all flesh not to long again the stage is setting this is to alert the world that God is God and he wants no help Obama time is of God the time that we are in is not to look at color of skin but look at the soon coming of our Lord those who have eyes to see will see .
November 7, 2008 at 1:28 am |
This is some good advice. I just read in Hebrews about Barak and change. I feel that Martin Luther King, John & Robert Kennedy would all embrace him and be glad. It was time for change in not only the USA but the world. We all have to stay prayed up.
November 7, 2008 at 1:30 am |
GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD bless our new african american president as he begins his journey. Please stop hating and pray for obama he has a long journey ahead and i know its too soon but i hope he runs again and win 2012.MY prayers go with my new prsident he going to make people see people as people and not as BLACK or WHITE.
November 7, 2008 at 2:02 am |
I truly believe that this is the will of God and that he is using Barack Obama to bring world peace. It is amazing the love that not only Americans’ but people from all over the globe have for this man. I know that he will make a difference and we as a country have to come together in prayer.
I live in Texas by way of California and experience racism on a daily basis. I can tell you that the people of the South are having a very hard time accepting the fact that Barack Obama is the new President of the United States, it doesn’t matter to them that he is bi-racial.
This is a historic time and we as a people should be proud. There is still a great deal of work to be done, but we are American’s and we can do it.
Thank you
God Bless!!!

I am a public school teacher in Louisiana, and yesterday I had several students ask me,yet again, who I voted for, I answered the same as always, it wasn’t up for discussion. However, that regardless of who would be president, as an American, I would support him as the leader of our country. What I couldn’t tell them was that I would be praying for him and his family as I have for every leader of our country. I have never just voted by party only, I have tried to look at the person and what they stand for. As a Christian, I can’t vote for anyone that supports abortion, or gay marriages. This is a time for Americans, especially Christians, to pray for the President – elect Mr. Obama, for God to give him wisdom, and for protection for him and his family. We need to remember that ultimately God is God and is in control. God Bless, Paula
November 7, 2008 at 2:13 am |
I voted for Barack Obama. I have no problem with him being an African American, if that is what he considers himself. What I do have a problem with is having a President that will not recite the Pledge or Allegiance. or place his hand over his hear when the Star Spangled Banner is sung/played. I’m certainly want to see what he does when he had to place his hand on the Bible and recite his oath..
I belive that he is going to make changes…I believe he is for the middle and lower class people…
All we can do is Pray for our President and Congress.

I cant type…Pledge of Alegiance or Place his hand over his heart is what I ment to type,…
sorry for the typos

I believe it is our Christian duty to pray for nation, our leaders, as well as for ourselves. Through our prayers and intercessions God can change people and circumstances to work in our favor. Shalom.
November 7, 2008 at 3:05 am |
What a day it will be when all white people go to heaven and all black people go to hell or vice versa. Nooooo sisters and brothers, not so. We are all children of God. EQUAL EQUAL EQUAL. Where we go in the next world solely depends on if we accept the Lord Jesus Christ or not. So my friends what some of us think of each other doesn’t take from the fact that we are all God’s children.
We shouldn’t speak ill if we don’t know. The bible says by their deeds ye shall know them, but it also says judge not that he be not judged. When Christ was on earth they didn’t believe He was from God and they couldn’t be convince ever, but it didn’t take from the fact that He is from God. Now some of us see good and call it evil and we see evil and call it good. Bless those who study the bible, ask God for revelation and knows the truth. Ever wonder about all these religions with everyone thinking he is right?
Let us never stop praying for each other, our leaders and the nation and pray for God’s guidance in all we do.

I, as a 61 yr old black woman who lived thru the Civil Rights era, am estatic about the election of Barack Obama. So many people voted for him regardless of the reason. I agree that he is anointed. His peaceful spirit embodies such. I will continue to pray for the Obama family every day. He is going to unify our country. It’s definitely time for change. God bless America!!!

read Judges 4:5-7 and she went and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him. Has not the LORD GOD OF ISREAL commanded saying, Go and draw toward Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children if Zebulum. Deborah speak here in a Prophetess, announcing God’s commands, not her own opions: declaring God’s promise, not merely her own hope or wishes. (so as you see if was not only the hope of the people but the commandment of God.(His father and mother was odain and chosen by God, there birth places was chosen ) fear not people if God be for us who can be against us.. Thank you brother Stewart, I truly believe that senator Obama was ordained President of the united states by God Almighty.
God has open a door that no man can shut, because he is doing a new thing in our nation.
You and kim Clement were the only two men of God who were able to hear God in this.
Visit http://www.kimclement.com click on nov 3rd word for America. Awesome!!!
I believe that those of us who heard the word of God about Senator Obama are the remnant.
May God continue to bless you, your family and ministry.

I must say first that we pray for Kathy Butler. Kathy, the Laws of United States says that if one of the parents is an “American” then so are the offsprings. I challeneg you to look this up. On top of that, we are all God’s children. You say that this is the wrong time for the Arabs to be in D.C. but what about the Europeans and the “First Americans” (Native Americans)? Let’s be fair here.
And the quality of your response towards Arabs… Kathy, is “ill-minded” if you will. Kenyan/Somalian is not Arab… it is African. His fther gave him the name Barack meanig “Blessed” in more than one language. The Hussein part which you are refering to as “Arab” is simply the middle name that Barack’s father gave him as parenst would give their children. Remember, Sadam was not in power when Barack was born.
Rev. Stewart, I believe in my heart you should minister to Kathy Butler. Also it would be wise counsel to double check these comments for its contents. It may cause responses that you might not want. Although God protects his people, God also will not have his people ignorant either.
Getting back to the actual issue. Yes I agree whole-heartenly with you about Obama and thank you for taking a stand when you werer arrested. I want to point out this important question point. Doesn’t Obama favors Joseph? I mean look at the simialrities.
WHO SAY GOD ISN’T AWESOME??!!!
Let’s pray for our leaders to lead us and pray that God have mercy on America.
May God bless and keep you all in jis Lover forever!!!

I am not against Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, as President of this great Country. I am Hispanic and I did not vote for Mr. Obama. Not because he is, as many think of him, black. No. But, because as the Christian that I am before God, I have to continue representing God. I can not serve two masters and vote for some one that has such beliefs like: abortion, gay marriage, and he believes in the power of change not the power of the status quo. Many of the issues that Mr. Barack Obama stands for do not agree with God’s Word…I can not negotiate my faith. I do think that it is important for all of us, as Christians, to keep Mr Barack Hussein Obama and the rest of his staff in our prayers. We need to trust in God in everything that happens..Ultimately it is God’s Will and not our will…..May God bless you all..
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Always it does not matter who becomes President unless they were chosen by God. However, I do believe that this was the work of God. I do know from the book of II Chronicles how Josiah was chosen as King to come in and clean up things from corrupt rulers. Yes from the moment I first heard him speak I realized that there was a calling for him in this to do this particular job, maybe it was a part of Martin Luther King’s Dream, but I believe it was more than that. In I forget what book in the bible it speaks of the bottom rising to the top. I believe this is what was meant. I think that many people believe that all African Americans voted for that reason, some may have, but I have always measured the person for what they are worth. This man has a anointance there. I believe on the issues it is hard from some people to grasp, but put in mind this country is not perfect and Jesus knew many people were different and believed in different things , but he did not look over them and this is the way we as Christians should be. Also, many are saying why should we take what we have worked hard for and share, also it needs to be put in mind that God wanted us to help the poor and in some cases he askes you to give up more, but he always blesses you in the end more than before. So if America does not know prosperity can come from blessing those less fortuante than others. I do believe abortion is wrong but this is a matter between that person and God. God forgives but yes some people intentionally do it, but as for this people are given the freedom to choose it is up to them if they choose right or wrong . That is what God gives us freewill. I hope this message is somethiing that someone will grasp and understand and know that the person that is in power has to have our prayers in order to govern the people the way that God wants it to be done. If we do that he cannot fail because he will have the power of the holy spirit as a shield a confident and a lighted path. God Bless America

Yes , I am sure that Borak Obama is the person chosen by God. I prayed that he would become the president. At first when the votes were all coming in for McCain I was wondering what was happening and then I prayed and then I noticed that Borak Obama had won andI was really happy. We have to keep him in our prayers and pray that God will guide him in all his decisions. God bless Obama and his family and god bless America

People are always saying abot how the Democrats are for gays, abortion, etc. I’m not for those things either but that’s just a small portion to look at.
The Republicans are just for the rich and the bible says don’t forget the poor and don’t have respect of person. I’m not talking about race I’m talking about the poor. Sin is sin. there’s no sin greater than the other accept for adultrey.(this is found in proverbs.) Everyone wants to look at one little piece and not the whole picture.
The people God used in the bible were not perfect. God told Hosea to marry a prostitute and in proverbs it says fornicators are not going to heaven. But for some reason God had Hosea mary her. Saul was definetly not perfect but his name was changed to Paul and he was used by God. I know there are others but just wanted to give examples.
God is still on the throne. I pray that Obama will put God(the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob) first in his life and seek god for guidance through Jesus Christ.
I believe God allowed Obama to win so Christians will have time to witness to those who need to be saved. If McCain had won the world may have gone down faster.
I will be praying for him and his family for protection and all goes well.

I have left the matter of our new president in God’s hands, because of the faith I have in God and His abilities to perfect our walk with him, and to work through a man I know very little of, Borak Obama.
As a 6 yr. old child I heard the voice of God speaking to me of my future adventures, that I would be singing for him one of these days. God spoke to me before I gave my heart to Jesus. I am now 43 and have been singing for Jesus.
God talks to believers and non-believers, he’s no
respector of persons, God loves us all, no matter what background we are from, and I expect God to use Borak Obama in these last days and honor God with the life he was given.
I pray for our new president Borak Obama to make the correct choices for our country, and leave the rest in God’s hands.
I speak light to
our country,and not darkness.
I speak Blessings upon Borak Obama and his family, as he leads our country.
God gave us a choice…he said to choose life or death, blessings or cursing.
I think it’s fine time we get out more into the community to encourage people to choose life and blessings. If we are the body of Christ we need to lay hands on the sick, mend the broken hearts, cast out demons in the name of Jesus, and the gateway to wisdom, LOVE! GET PEOPLE SAVED AND BAPTIZED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
GOD IS BLESSING AMERICA AMEN!

Rev Stewart…..im embarrassed that u would go with the whole “black thing” which i think is over due to…and not even address the abortion views or approval of homosexuality. you know my pastor always reminds us that u cant “pick and choose ” what you want to follow or believe out of the bible, and u cant be luke warm or he will spit u out. if this is change..i dont want it. i think we all need to pray for God to CHANGE Mr Obamas heart and stop trying to be popular by agreeing with sin. if agree with the verses of coarse, and i will be behind our new president….but i also fear we are in for a bumpy ride. thank you and may God continue to bless u and ur ministry….i love you.

Don…….God is not a prejudice God, and he is simply showing us that not only a white person can run the White House or the american affairs. Thank God for change – thank God for Obama!!!!!!!
I hope and trust that prejudice will be put aside – taking an example from God, and everyone will work together in peace and love. Remember, in the eyes of God we are all equal – the color of one’s skin does not matter to him – so why should it matter to man????
Let us keep Obama & his family in prayer – he is a gift from God to all of us.

I have no right to vote yet, but I did pray God to choose our president, and I believe HE did…. Obama by himself can’t guide this country, therefore we have to pray ..Jeremie 29 verse 11 is my favorite verse, I will continue to pray for this country……

‘The voice of the people is the voice of God’ God raises up governments and He brings them down. God does whatever He pleases. It is time that people of colour be lifted up and feel some degree of dignity about themselves. I live in The Bahamas and I am Bahamian. All my life, I have only known a black government. It gives you a sense of identity to which you can relate. I know how black Americans must feel today. God is not a respector of persons.

I did not vote for President-elect Obama, because of his stance on abortion and homosexual marriage, but as an African-American, it was a proud and historic moment for me when he was elected. I could see that we seem to have come to a time when people could judge him as King said, “not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character,” (whether or not they voted for him).
We now need to pray for God’s will to be done in his life and through his leadership.

I’m a Brazilian born living in the US; And that’s what I beleive: God is a God of all nations, of all colors. Jesus, God’s only begoton son was a non white Jew and He did wonders through him. God is in control in electing president Obama. God is a sovereign God and we ought to trust Him to guide the new leader of this country. Lets keep on praying for America!
I thank God for you… God Bless you! IA

Don,
I totally agree with you. I know that you are telling the truth about working with African Americans in your early ministry because my pastor, Kelly Brown worked with you and A A Allen during the early years. He has told us many stories of how the Blacks and Whites worshipped together, and the miracles that God did in the midst. He also told me of how he and White workers were stopped when traveling together, but God would not allow the enemy to harm them.
I am an African American, and I know of the struggles of my parents and others. However, I did not experience as much of the struggles because I was too young at the time. I have been saved since 1971 and have seen some harsh realities. I know that we need to pray for all those in authority, especially President-elect Obama. I believe this was ordained of God. Therefore, we pray for God to give him wisdom and strength to lead this great country. We have been fasting and praying for Barack Obama since the time he has been running for President. We continue to fast and pray for his safety, as well as the safety of his family, and the safety of America, always.

I believe this was GOD wish for Borak Obama to be president we as christian and non believer just need to keep him and his family up in prayer
November 7, 2008 at 2:23 pm |
Uhm, well I’m agnostic so I don’t really agree with the idea that a “GOD” cares about American politics.
However, I do believe that he was what MLK Jr. saw on the mountain top.
We the people elected Obama. And I believe he is going to do a wonderful job in correcting everything the Bush administration tore asunder.

The morning that we received news of our new president, I thought God that is so you. God choses the foolish things to confound the wise. Our nation needs healing and I believe that racial walls are one of the issues in America. It touched me to see the candidates on stage black and white embrassing.
I believe God can change the hearts of Kings. I have never seen such bitter, angry Christians. Where is the love, hope, and faith?
God will transform this man..for He said I will pour my spirit on all flesh
November 7, 2008 at 2:33 pm |
Irrespective of what any of us may think or feel, we believers should know what the will of the Lord is for His Church. The purpose and power of our Lord Jesus Christ is lost in our wrangling in issues unrelated to our call to bring the glorious message of hope to a dying generation. I’m ashamed of both sides of the isle (left and right) when it comes to our representing Christ. For instance: Yes, I agree sexual immorality is wrong; and Christians shouldn’t be part of it. But even if every homosexual changed their ways; that wouldn’t mean they were any closer to salvation. Our responsibility is to preach Jesus, not morality, not race relations, not politics. Jesus!
While the nation will be working to come together to support ths young man as president, I’m saddened at the divide within the church as it relates to our primary goal. Let’s agree that it is about Jesus; and the rest will take care of itself. God Bless

I TOLD MY CHILDREN MAURICE, RICKEY , REGINA , VIRGIL , you can be all you can be,when you put GOD first all the rest will fall in line.and learn all you can while in school, payday is coming after while ;we all pray that GOD keep Obama Family save from harm and in Jesus Holy will.

Yes I voted for President Elect Barak Obama, he was very well chosen by God. I saw God’s character, intergity and love for the people on this man.
He keep the FAITH and ran the race and won, if God be for you who can be against you. YES WE CAN. I look at my grandson, and now he sees hope in becoming anything he want, in Christ Jesus. President Obama have a big task ahead of him and I surley beleive that he is a man of prayer and he thinks before he speaks. Very very smart man of God. With all the odds that was againt him thoughout the campaign, he stayed focus, on his journey and WON. Praise be to God.
November 7, 2008 at 3:22 pm |
I believe that God did ordain President-Elect Obama to be the next President as Minister Stewart has said. No power can get into office unless God allows it (Romans 13:1). However, it has not always a good change as we read in the word. Sometimes God allows certain powers to be in position to punish sin and one now is racism. God is a Just God. However, just because God ordains a power to be, it does not always mean that it is because “the power” is godly. God will give the people what they want as one person wrote earlier in the blog, and in doing that, the people end up with a rude awakening. While on one hand, unfair racism toward blacks for years is being judged. On the other hand, the people of all races, also, now have a president who believes in everything opposite the word of God; abortion, homosexuality, etc. Sadly to say, “the people’s choice” and even many “Black Christian’s choice.” Why? Because he’s Black. That’s not good enough. We are to regard ourselves as Christians first before anything else! This is what keeps it all right. When Black Christians are more excited about a President being Black more than anything else, you forget all about the grave importance of morality and righteousness in a president. Although racism towards Blacks is being judged, I also hear so much racism in my fellow Black family as well. I am Black myself and the emails and conversation I receive are ridiculous from so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ. They wreak of nothing but racism, arrogance and pride. Not to mention too much faith in a man just because he’s Black. Not a good thing at all! God will share his glory with no one. So many Christians have totally overlooked what the President-Elect stands for Just Because he’s Black. We are to stand for and favor God’s righteous cause no matter what color a person is! I believe God wants us to see what’s really in our hearts. Is it Him and His word or idol worship? Yes, we must pray for our leaders and give honor where honor is due, but we must never put our trust in princes or kings nor are we to compromise and exalt other things over what’s righteous. We must trust the Lord and stand for truth and righteousness above all else! Otherwise, we will be in for a rude awakening once we realize what’s really going on!
November 7, 2008 at 3:29 pm |
Hi Brother Stewart:
I heard a lot of preachers said that we should pray for our leaders because God commanded us to do so, but you are the only preacher whoI heard said that president elect Obama was choosen by God. I am an Africa-Canada from the Carribbean and we have never experience the type of rasical stuff that happen in America. Based on what I have learned in History I, in my wildest dreams could not believe my ears and eyes when I saw and heard that Obama won the presidential election. God must of choosen him. The Bible stated that there would be signs and wonders when the coming of the lord is near and this is one of those signs. I am proud and honoured to witness the great historic event and I hope this will bring all nations around the world together and that we will all live in peace and harmony in the name of Jesus. America embrace you president and pray for him and his family because he sure needs our prayers.
God Bless.

Borak Obama is God’s LAST CHANCE for Americans to repent and seek God with their whole hearts. If Borak can effectively change American values from the “gods of financial profit and greed” to love and concern for one’s neighbours and fellow citizens – then there is hope.
Otherwise ….
BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE OBOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her …..and the merchants of the earth will weep amd mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandize anymore ….. For in one hour such great riches came to nothing. Revelation 17 and 18

Pastor Stewart I am glad you did not endorse a canidate; however, there were leaders who openly endorsed canidates. There was a Prophetess that has been in revival at our church for several weeks. We have seen miracles while she has been there, so there was no reason to doubt her prophesy. One night she told us we should not vote for Obama. She said God had given that to her in a dream about a year before. She said she wrote it down, had it notorized and sealed. I was grieved because I felt that Obama was ordained by God for such a time as this. She told us this one month before the election. I continued to pray and seek God but I could not get a confirmation in my spirit. During his speech after he was elected, I received that confirmation that God had indeed ordered his steps.

Hello Don and thanks for inviting me to comment on your blog.
Yes, I do believe that Obama is Ordained by GOD to be the President of the United States of America at this present time. He has humble beginnings; he cares about human beings, especially contributing his time to the less fortunate; and he turned down many prestigious Opportunities/Jobs that could have had him “sitting pretty”. But he had a much “Higher Calling” of GOD in his life and we are now beholding it.
When a man abases himself, that is when GOD raises him up. This is what GOD had in store for Barack Obama; and he needs our sincerest prayers for GOD’s Guidance and Protection, as well as our Respect and Support.
GOD Bless Our New President Barack Obama and his Office; and
GOD Bless America.

Everything that happens is no accident as GOD governs all events. Yes, everything is pre-ordained. It is no accident Barack Obama’s parents found each other and produced this remarkable young man. It is no accident in his upbringing. I voted for moral character and I had a deep rooted, deep in the gut feeling that he, President-elect Obama, is the one who have the intelligence, brilliance, desire and spiritual insight backed by GOD.
The American public needs to erase its own doubt, fears and illusions and give him the same support they have given every other Republican & Democrat before him. His name resounds in other parts of the land as a testament that we all can change, we all can work together and we will.
I have never stopped praying for he and his family since I first heard of him and his family. The other foreign country leaders see the same greatness in him and have no doubt whatsoever in his appointed destiny.
Obama represnets that it is time for people to come together, remember who they are, work together for the highest good of all and to remember that GOD is the highest good of all. I always teach my students and clients alike my signature phrase:
“Remember that Divine Grace is a Blessing as we are alive & well in The Age of Remembrance !” God is Divine Grace, God is The Blessing, God ordained this Age and we are alive and well. It is our job/desire/need to remember that God is in everything and everyone. God is Life & Love.
Amen to All.

Christian people of God: some of you say you could not vote for someone whose views on abortion and gay marriage were so against God’s word. Do you NOT BELIEVE that the fervent prayers of the saints of the LIVING GOD can and WILL change this man’s heart and mind? Where is your faith? DON’T YOU REALIZE that God will get the glory in all this? Where is YOUR faith in GOD!!!!!! Mr. Obama’s election was God’s will, otherwise today our president-elect would be Mr. Mccain.

Barac Obama’s Mission is to be President of the United states. When you are where you were ordained to be there is no Barack Obama is where he was ordained by God to be. When you are where you are assigned by God there is no rival. I wholeheartedly beleive this. As a Christian I must accept and support the Lord. Therefore I support Barack Obama 100%. May God use him tremondously to bring about the change that isnecessary.

Most definetly. If you look in your bible in judges chp.4,verse 4-6 and read on you will see is name barak there. That was the plan of God. Barack is for every nationality, but in most folks it’s a black&white thing. If you look back in your history book and read the pledge-We are the people of the United States of America that means everyone treated equal. See the ones who voted for McCain still wants the same thing that’s not of change. They need to get out of the old& in with the new. Don’t hate the situation, inticipate. Barack as you can see is very intelligent, bright, and smart. I pray every night for him and his family for protection for those out there hate the fact that a black man has won the title-President.

I give God praise, this is a new day. All over the world people are rejoicing to see that change has finally come to America. The church in the South for the most part has always aligned itself with the Republican party, and believed that their vote always influenced the out come of the election. But this election has proven that God is neither Democratic or Republican, He appoints who ever he wills in the kingdom of man. Many are saying they cannot vote for a man who supports abortion. The church is very hypocritical on this issue, because true worship is a life style, and just like the sinner, Christians are having sex outside of marriage and they cover up their affair by having an abortion. If our so called religious nation under God was no so promiscuous there would be no need for Planned Parenthood and doctors to give women abortions. No President or government could legislate morals, there is nothing the government or the church can do about homosexuals, adulterers, pronography, or any kind of perverse sexual behavior, you cannot change the heart of a man with laws, take prohibition for example, the government banned the sale of alcohol and the people made Moonshine. A person can only change from within, salvation begins with a heart change. There will always be abortions, no matter what laws are passed. The bible tells us the story of Sodom and Gormorrah, was homosexual behavior wiped out after God’s judgment fell on those two cities? NO. Would human beings stop having sex outside of marrige? NO. Would there always be abortions? YES. The church needs to get on with her business of preaching the gospel to the lost, and preparing herself for the coming of Christ and stop trying to tell Satan’s children how to live. For evil seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. They live outside of the presense of God. They are lawless, rebellious and disobedient. As a nation we have gotten by with a lot wickedness in high places, because the wicked were in positions of power, but the cry of the blood of many black people who were lynched, hung on trees, shot in the street like animals, beaten, arrested and sent to prison for many, many years for minor offenses, and have died prematurely because of proverty, etc. etc. has come up before God. Sometimes it takes a generation to change the wrongs of the previous generations. But this is the time to ask God for forgiveness for the iniquities of the previous generation. For those of you who are pointing the finger at Obama for the abortion issue, pray for the forgiveness for the outstanding niquities of your family. Because God says he will visit the iniquities of the fathers upon the children to the 3rd and 4th generation. Let us pray for a time of healing, forgiveness and the restoring of the breaches of many generations, and that the Spirit of God will fall on our New President and turn his heart like the heart of David who persued the presense of God.

What a wonderful and uplifting message. Thank you for being so fair, balanced, and insightful! I was born into Christianity, but sometimes my faith wavers a bit because I see people who claim to be Christian, yet are so hateful in all things. It is nice to see a message that isn’t divisive, but instead, will allow us to all join together and be one.
I plan to frequent your blog a lot now, I’m glad I found it! Please feel free to check me out anytime at: http://www.leahomar.wordpress.com

hi Pastor Don ,Thanks for e mailing me about this site.I agree with you that President Obama’s election was ordained of God.and that He is the one who puts people in power to fulfill his plans, whether for the good or to punish the nations just as it was in the bible days . I feel that Obama is the People’s President,he is of both black and white races and i also feel that people should try not to get hung up on the fact the colour of his skin is black, just that he is the right man for the job the man ordained of God to lead the nation.I live in Canada and i feel that he is the most exciting President to be in the Whitehouse since John F Kennedy .Change is needed in this world today more than ever and it is my prayer that he will be Guided by our Lord in all things God bless America.Irene Tracey

If the people didn’t think he wouldn’t do a good job at being president they wouldn’t of voted him in! In regards to him being black, the world is Gods and climate is climate, geographic location and climate determine what colour you are. Humanity in a hole is predetermined on how all cultures have to be able to understand each other.America is a maulty cultural country and learning how to understand each other through Jezus is a goal everybody should strive for.We all know that the lord was the only one Leader that set the stepping stone to all understanding and from his death humanity was to learn that power can lay beyond this world. I hope that any leader appointed buy a nation will forfill his obligations and duties to the best of his abiliaty and the people should be happy with that. However a president can’t answer everybodies prayers because that gods majestic power and the thrown of god is the most high and the lord is our mediator.

I really would not like to think that God has anything to do with pollitics. What difference does it make if the president is black or white? So many people are deceived, believing that Obama is going to make a huge difference.Once he gets filled in by his government he will be just like the other pupets on a string. He will do as he is advised by his staff. There will be no big drastic changes, it would cause to much up roar. As far as God having a hand in this,I doubt that very much.
November 7, 2008 at 6:20 pm |
how does obama support the christian cause again?
i have yet for that to be answered.
in response to your post: NO – emphatically.
i believe a few have said in more or less words “sure he was ordained because if God did not want it he would not have allowed it.”
that’s a fallacy in logic, for we all know that the world is imperfect and evil, and people are imperfect and evil, and being inherently flawed as people it IS possible for us to elect the WRONG LEADER – which happened here. God gave us choice – did He not think that we would use it for both good AND evil? please.
after all, lest we forget how the antichrist is supposedly going to rise to power? through the approval of the people, yes? do you need a refresher course?
all i can hope is that God will not, under the bad leadership we have elected, allow this country to go to hell. i am optimistic for ’12 already – the next four years are going to be plagued by mistakes that those who did not vote for obama should not be unfairly subjected to.
November 7, 2008 at 6:32 pm |
When one gets into the concept of “god ordained this or that”, then you’re headed down a very slippery slope.
The same god who you claim choose Obama to be president is the same god who chose W to get the US into 2 wars in the last 8 years?
The same god who you claim choose Obama to be president is the same god who chose Bin Laden to have 19 of his followers fly planes into buildings?
The same god who you claim choose Obama to be president is the same god who chose Hitler to rise to power in the ’30s?
The same god who you claim choose Obama to be president is the same god who chose to allow countless children to be molested throughout history?
If you’re going to give god credit for the good (first black president), you should be equally willing to give god “credit” for the bad (W, Bin Laden, Hitler, pedophilia, etc)…
November 7, 2008 at 6:38 pm |
I am a believer who needed some comfort and reassurance re Obama’s win. You are correct according to the Scriptures; but, you don’t need me to tell you that – the Lord already has. Sometimes, we tend to stray a bit from what God says in His Word in order to hang on to our own views. You set me straight and I thank you, brother.
November 7, 2008 at 6:55 pm |
i don’t know if i’d say having a black president is over due, its not like there has been much (legitimate) effort from a black candidate for the presidency. and i don’t think it will really change people’s minds on racism.
it is more of a “state of the union” on the issue. we, as americans, are finally getting to point where race doesn’t exclude people from things.
i’m excited to see what he does. i think he will surprise a lot of people with how well he does.
do people honestly believe he is going to usher in a reign of terrorism? that somehow this is a grand scheme from the muslim community to infiltrate america? that he is a spy, 47 years in the making?

Hi Pastor Don,
As a Canadian we held our election 1 month prior.
Don, I watched the U.S.A. debates and right from the get go,
I knew it would be Obama as President.
About time for the african-american. No skin, no race, or religion,
Our Lord Jesus Christ lives in all man’s hearts and he is the little voice that no-one listens to.
Accept those of us that believe Our Father in Heaven sent his only Son Jesus to heal the sick, feed the hungry and speak the word of God. Also I believe that Jesus was placed on the cross and died for our sins, and his blood flows over us. And he then arose up to the Heavens above and sits at the right hand of God Almighty. Jesus is my Saviour..
Hello From My Heart!
Warm Regards,
Randy Baldwin
Pastor Don, I have enjoyed your literature and Pastor Don with your Devine words. Have created a bond with Jesus Christ once again.
All my Love and prayers to you Don and your Family.
Dear Don, thank you for always being there as my touch point. I am ready to join the Miracle Life Fellowship International as a Licensed Minister. I will fill in the forms and send them with the ammount mentioned,
plating a seed of prosperity for my fellowship.
Most important Bless you Pastor Don, with Love and prayers

Pastor Stewart, I thank you for having to courage to speak up at this critical time. I voted for Obama, and I did so not because he’s black..but because he was RIGHT. This country needs CHANGE!! ..Change from hopelessness. to hope, from ignorance and racism to being United as one “THE UNITED STATES”.. I realized that he wasn’t running as the Archbishop and Chief Archbishop of the United States ..he was running as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I realized that Jesus hanged out with some people of questionable characters in his day however he saved a wretch like me, and I’m glad about it..Hallelujah! I may not agree with all of his policies, but I want good healthcare, an end to at least 1 war, and the ability to tell my daughter that she can be ANYTHING she wants to be..therefore I pray for his safety and I pray that God Blesses the work of his hands..I embrace those who still questions his authenticity ..I say come let us reason together and pray for our president -electin In Jesus Name…. GOD BLESS AMERICA

Though we as people may not agree or agree to dis-agree Barack Obama is the best choice for our new President. He’s young, smart, and compationate. And a family man with young girls, so he can relate to the needs of the families. Thank God, for those who cast the historical vote, and to those that signed up to vote for the first time. They are the ones that help make this “HISTORY” I am so thankful that I had the chance to help in this election, by talking to people about Barack, and also signing friends and family up to vote. We look forward to great and wonderful changes in our government with our new leader. Continue to Pray for him and his family, and also for us as people, as we all need Prayers daily. I have no doubt that God ordained him for this position as a great leader. God Bless President Barack Obama, his family, our families, THE TROOPS AND AMERICA!!! YES WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE!!!!

Although from Canada, I followed the US elections closely. There is a reason why God chose Obama and we will continue to pray for him – for wisdom and guidance in all he does.

I am glad to tell everyone that I believe it is God’s will for Barack Obama to become president. At this point in time when we are very close to the rapture of God’s people we can safely believe no one is going to be put in a position of power who does not belong there. Every leader is being placed by God in a place of strategic and crucial importance to His plan.
I do not agree with ALL the policies of either party. I believe abortion is wrong and that it is the outright murder of children. I believe it is equally wrong for those who decry abortion to turn their heads to the suffering of children who have already been born. Thousands of children worldwide die every day from starvation, filthy drinking water, disease, birth defects caused from the birth mothers’ poor nutrition, the list goes on and on. Often the people who are very vocal about abortion turn their heads to these litlle ones who have already been born and so desperately need help.
Some of these kids live right here in America, and the conservative right does not and will not help them. Which is worse, abortion or dying from the effects of poverty and neglect? May Jehovah Jireh keep His hand of love and protection on the born as well as the unborn.
My prayer is that our Lord Who so deeply loves us will touch the heart of our new president and all our leaders, that God will be welcomed back into our homes, schools, and government offices and that He fill the new leadership with understanding and compassion.
However, no matter what happens we can rest in the knowledge that He is in total control. Always.

Pastor Don, I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus. I along with so many others wept, particularly when the 2 couples did a group hug. There was genuine love on this platform, even from the beginning, and there were no b-o-o-s heard allnight at the Democratic ralley. Unlike the other well to do, rich and arrogant who boo-ed at the mention of the President elect’s name. These are sane, sensible people????
Who knows, perhaps the Lord will change this man’s heart toward the rejection of abortions. His heart is in God’s hand. Remembre, he has been hearing the word of God for many years, even if the pastor(Jeremiah) was out of his mind, and disliked his own country. Let’s hold him up before the Lord. Peace and blessings, MIN S.

“Look how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity…” I know that am not speaking for a lot of the Christian majority in this country that did not vote for Obama because of the pro-life issue, but I’m glad to hear that there are some Christians who were glad, like God must have been to see the joy in people’s faces, regardless of their color, at the news of the election of our new president. Have there been any fewer abortions because of our last administration? There is a hunger and a thirst in our nation for righteousness that the “appearance of righteousness”= self righteousness has made the hearts of people sick because of the lies and hypocrisy in the name of God. True revival can only come when that hunger and thirst are present. I believe that God chose Obama to be president because He is always looking at the heart of people rather than to those who honor Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. It would not surprise me if God will use Obama to actually do something about the immorality in this country in spite of his political affiliation. The real fruit of this choice is already bringing expressed in our people…How about healing for the nations (races), unity, hope, truth, justice…? Only God is good but He gives favor and grace to those who align themselves with Him from the heart and not with their talk only. Let’s all commit to praying from our hearts for our new president so that God can continue the healing work he started in us.

wow! i really dont know where to begin. i trust that God will lead me as i endeavour to writing this. first of all let me say that i am doing this with absolutely no biases. i am originally from the caribbean, both my parents are multi racial from african and British background, i am a lot like Obame in racial mixture, if anyone should support a candidate in terms of his race, then i should be Obamas biggest supporter. however my support of a presidential candidate transends race; ideology and morality are far more important.
let me take a minue to examine obama, he is as far left wing as you can get, which means that he opposes everytihng that america stands for, which in my opinion makes him a communist, he says that he is a christian and at the same time he says that he believes in evolution, which in my opinion in blasphemy and an insult to all of us who are christians; and he might not even be a true american citizen which means that he might not be eligible to be an american president, and his name suggest that he might aven be muslem. is he muslem? yes i believe he is and i will tell you why; he dosent support the war in iraq, he wants to chat with that fellow in iran who wants to blow up Isreal, he was endorced by the president of venezuela who is a pal of that fellow in iran and his middle name is hussain. now i know that he is not responsible for naming himself, however lets return to the Bible for a while, when ever God called out a person for a particually time and season to fullfill a particually task, if that person did not have the appopriate name God would change that persons name, or if a person was chosen even before his birth for a particular purpose Gog would assign a name to him. now you might say what does that have to do with obama being muslem, well i believe everything. i believe that if obama is truly a christian, he would change hin name to reflect his Christianity. case in point, i played cricket with a fellow from pakistan whose name is samson, one day i asked him how did you come by a name like samson and he proudly replied ‘my parents were converted to christianity hence the name change. i dont remember if i did back then, but if it were today i would shout praise the LORD. having said all of that, i believe that obame has a great opportunity to repent and yet become a great president, or he would be the most dangerous person to ever set foot in the white house, sadly i believe the latter is more likely for i truly believe that he is the fore runner of the anti Christ. everything about him fits that mold; he is very carismatic, he speaks beautifully whilst saying nothing and he makes people cry. i agree with Danny Duran finally, yes its is true that all the powers that be is of God, i believe deep in my heart that because america has strayed so far from God, and that after the attack by muslems on 9-11 which brought your country together so beautifully, because you have turned your backs on the GOD that brought you together on that horrible day, that he is now giving you a muslem person to sit in the highest office in the land. i have read the Bible and that fit very much with GODS way of doing things. ps i still love your country and i love your out going president George Bush. God bless his soul. There is so much more i could say but i am going to stop here GOD BLESS YOU ALL STEADMAN MIGNON, WINNIPEG, CANADA

I prayed for the last two month for God to pick the president for all of us. I prayed in the voting box until I heard the still small soft voice next to my heart tell me who he wanted. Praise the Lord. I hope that all the people of this country grow up and accept all of our differences. We are all Americans. Thank GOD for our founders and the Bill of Rights. Mare

I am a young woman and very glad to be part of this historic event. I voted for our President Elect (Barack Obama) and is happy to see that he was elected. I am African American, but I truly believe that he is for all people (regardless of race, creed, and color) and will do what is best for everyone; nothing will be changed or solved overnight so we must continue to pray that change will take place (and that goes for any President that takes office).

Yes,
You message is timely and true. To me on election night this words from God to moses came in mind. I have heard the cry of the people
the people. Many prayers made in tears and travail by the African community for several years, many died without
seeing the answer to their prayer the cry for a day when people will not
be judged by the color of their skin. The burden was given to Martin Luther King. God has truelly answered this prayer. Our part as the church is to
stand in the gap and pray for the President elect, i believe there is change
coming to the church too. A mighty wave of change is coming to the church, lets pray for the unity of the body of christ too. So we can see the acomplishment of God’s mercy, Jesus prayed and said”
Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.John 17:6-19

Did we put the right man in office? He does have views on certain issues that do not agree with God’s word. However, he is our President. God’s word states we should pray for people in authority. As Christians, we should do what the bible tells us to do.

Dear Man of God,
One night in March, this year, I had a dream. I dreamed that the Senior Pastor of All Nations Full Gospel church in Toronto, Canada, came to my Apartment in the midle of night telling me to go to church with him to pray for Senator Barak Obama.
In my dream, the Pastor drove me to church in the night.there was noboby at the Church when we arrived. As we were unstacking the chairs, the congregation started growing. In a very short time the church was full. The church was filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit.
The following day,I told my Pastor about my dream and we prayed for Mr.Obama.But when I called a Pastor living in Maryland,U.S.A. and told him about my dream,he laughed at me, and told me that I probably must have eatten too much before I went to bed the night before.
Since then,I have had several dreams about mr.Obama;one in which he was being chased by unidentified people but escaped.
As a new Christian,I can not identify revelations in dreams but I always pray that I foresee things that may happen.I am an African who came to Canada for a better life some twenty years ago. I have worked and tried very hard to live a descent life. But the forces that be always try to give me an identity;that I do not belong here. But when I saw the historical change in the United States,on November 4,I cried all night and felt like packing my bag and run away south of the border.I hope the world is a better place for mankind especially us, people of color. I am constantly praying for the Canadian people to look at what has happened in the States and follow suite.
Thank you,
The African.

He was certainely ordained by God. It doesn’t matter what the color of your skin is, it is a day in history that a defining moment change has come to America. I am africian american and to look back on what my mom, grandmom, and their mom,and father and other generations came from back in their times it is certainely a crowning moment for africian americans to see that finally a africian american man was selected to be the president of the united states. To many on that night it bought tears and joy to our eyes and heart. This is the day that many of us was looking for. And thanks to the people of all races that voted for him that believes in him from the speech threw this whole campaign that he have spoken. I’m very happy and I know my mom, grandparents and the rest of my family that’s not here with us is looking down on us with a smile. Whatever he faces that lies ahead god has is back. It will take time, but all changes will come. We all have to pray and keep the faith cause prayer changes everything. May god bless america.

We are always under the control and authorty of Jesus Christ, and we have to understand that everything that God intent for us have, and be, will be. We as a person, group, county or nation, what ever is meant to be will be. What God has for you it is for you, can no one get what God has in store no matter how hard you try. Always remember believe in yourself, because God Did, the only thing that Obama did was excised his faith. We as a nation, country has to learn to live, walk, speak, sleep by faith. I learn as a child how to use my faith. When you use your faith it works out for your goos, and God is glorified. It does not matter who we are, how rich or how poor one is. God said he gave everyone a measure of faith he left no one out. so we all have a good foundation to build on.. …..Be Bless

Hey Rev Don, i am in total agreement with your message. I truely believe that Obama was ordained by God. I also believe that he is a servant that God is going too use to lead the world despite race, creed, ethnicity, colour, religion or nationality. I am praying that he will be a president that will listen to the voice of the lord and do as he instruct in him to do accordingly. My message to President-elect Obama is, Sir you were elected to serve the people, please dont abuse your authority and dont exault yourself. Think carefully about what to do, inform the people on your course of action. Everyone will not agree with you but if the lord instruct you to do so persevere. My richest blessing is upon you.

Yes, I know that Obama was ordained by God. He Himself told myself and another family member that he was the man for the job. Well before he and Hillary began to campaign. And, I’m glad he did. In all the confusion that came with labels, it was lost that Obama himself does not believe in abortion. The words he spoke were that he believed abortion was wrong and that he does not agree with the homosexual life style. However, it is up to each individual person to make those choices for themselves. We as christians should pray for him daily. God also revealed that through this man the Holy Spirit will sweep through our government. For this reason as well Obama must be lifted up in our prayers. Satan will stop at nothing to prevent this. Can you all imagine our government under a man willing and open to follow God first and foremost? Not party lines or labels, but God? I have lived to see an African-American elected to the office of president like God revealed. I have no doubt I will see this as well. (Oh, I am 29 years this year.)

God makes all things beautiful in his time. He who has started a good thing will complete it in all of us. He is a father to the fatherless, the unseen guest in every conversation, The Iam that I am, Lion of the tribe of judea. Who can defeat God in a battle?. The Lord has remembered the African Americans and all former things are past away. This is an end to our worries and concern. To Him be the Glory through out generations in Jesus name. Amen
November 8, 2008 at 5:52 am |
Yes I believe that Barack Obama was ordained to be president. One because before he was even running for President, God spoke to me during prayer the Barack Obama would be the next president of the United States of America. God also stated tht I should pray for him and his family, and all of his servicemen. That the blood of Jesus which prevails all things shall keep him. I believed God and here we are. We must trust that the Almighty God knows exactly what he is doing. and according to his word, he does. God is the Authour and the Finisher of our Faith. Let us just take the time out to thank God for a change to come both positive and sometime negitive. God knows the plans he has for us, the United (the coming together of anything) States of America ( different people of all cultures, races, and religion, UNITED for one cause and purpose.
November 8, 2008 at 5:58 am |
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev Don, this is the Lord’s doing. I believe Barack is the right person for the time, God has put him there. All we need to do as christians is to pray for him and his family. Let us ask for God’s protection, guidance and wisdom for him to rule the country.
I agree with what Minister Sylvia said, God can change his mind about the abortion issue. That don’t make him a bad person, God has His own way of doing things.
Rev. Don, I really thank God for what He’s using you to do for His children. Continue the good word.
Stay blessed

I don’t believe we all have the same thoughts. I don’t believe we are looking at a skin problem but a sin problem. Just because we are not for a person of race doesn’t mean we are against black people. Nor do I believe we need to follow the crowd. As a Christian we need to take a stand. Follow the Bible teachings not what men say is right. Just because some one is nominated doesn’t mean this is God’s choise. By saying that, we are saying all wrong doings is God’s choise. Hitler wasn’t God’s choise. Sometimes God permits things happen because people refuse to do what is right. The Bible also says because people refuse the truth, God will give them a strong delusion to believe a lie. Bob

I too believe that atheism has taken over our public schools. In the old Greek, “techne” was a word that meant art as well as technology.
We have lost the meaning of the creation by judging others when no one is worthy. We need to give our children back their ability to be the miraculous and divinely intelligent beings they were formed in the womb to be. My friend, Dr. Wood, one of the genius’s of the last century, remembered at 88 years old on tape for a Canadian BBC radio broadcast, things he remembered hearing and understanding from the womb, as his mother met and discussed social issues with her church friends, and these conversations informed the goals of compassionate democracy for his whole life.
When a happy child goes into schools, the closed systems shrink their brains and spirits with outmoded ideas from an industrial age, and these corporations being given rights as citizens, as well as the Victory tax put on self-employment in 1951 are big reasons why we the people have no control over the decisions that affect the fourth to the seventh generation to come.
I also believe that God is Good and his name is music.
“He dwells in the Praises of His People”
When we took prayer and dance and song out of life and schools, we did a very bad thing…
When we try to lead our little innocent children and teach them our lies, we are wrong.
But since no one is worthy (“All our righteousness is as filthy rags in the eyes of Good”),
then we must simply become like little children and see once again the awe of creation.
That is why I feel led to challenge everyone to help bring cities of refuge back to the planet, and to establish “Angels Unawares” Houses and warehouses in big cities, to entertain strangers, because “…by so doing, many have entertained angels unawares.”
If I had been in charge of Katrina aid, the money I would have spent would have given all refugees the choice to live on cooperative farms that are owned by the people, where habitats can be created that are people and earth friendly, instead of putting them up in polluted hotels and then dumping them in the streets of America.
I grew up in the midst of some of the most despised people on the planet:
the poor, Jews, Blacks, Irish, Mexicans, but we all got along fine in Venice Beach because we were all poor together, but in those days, poor meant no profit, not nothing to eat and nowhere to live.
Habitat for Humanity was a good vision, but got bogged down in slums and lack of money for expensive real estate, what was a conspiracy of fools?
“The Creator is known in the Glory of His Creation”
Why does man seek to destroy this beauty, when it and the animals are pure, and can teach us how to be pure in heart?
“To the pure in heart, all things are pure>”
and
“Ye are gods to whom the word of god is given.”
Why do we not claim our heritage?
Will we give our brothers and sisters in the world bread or a stone?
Does God Make Nations?
Or is this a conundrum created by men?
Will we follow the Laws of men, or the Laws of God?
This is how our faith will be judged:
Did you feed the hungry and heal the sick and raise the dead?
Or did we become like walking dead who have lost compassion for others, especially the most vulnerable, the children?
If Obama can change the course we are headed down, let him speak out for those who have no voice and stop the abortions!

There has always been God’s will and man’s will. As in the instance of Saul, which was man’s will and David which was God’s will. In this instance I believe the people’s will was done. Because of certain situations in this country at the time, caused people to vote for CHANGE. I believe he is a good man, and he will do a good job, but I don’t feel He was God’s choice

I feel that God has a hand in everything we do in life. No he has given us a task to work with our new President and lift him up in prayer along with the rest of the governments and countries of the world. Together we can overcome any problems no matter how big. However divided we can only see failure and this is our chance to make a major change in the world as we know it. I am one of those that was laid off of work two years ago and have been unable to find a job but my father God stiill provides so long as I live by his word. God bless you Pastor Don and our President elect OBama.

I believe that Obama was assigned to lead this nation at this time in history. To me he can do no worst than what has happened in the past. It is not about black, white, brown, yellow or nationality. This country is a giant melting pot that has not always been fair for all people and minorities. Religion in this country has been used for some good and has been used to do bad to people. People have mixed emotions about religion in this country and us as so called believers. Often times we have hidden behind the bible to justify some of our irrational behaviors such has intermarrying people of other races for example. As I understand it biblically that we are either Jew or Gentile. We have put color barriers on people and called it Christianity. Our souls may be saved, but our flesh has a long way to go, because so often, we can’t get past the color of ones skin, when God wants us to look at the content of ones heart. We need to repent and pray for what we as people have taught our children and society in reference to the word and love of God. We no longer need a White Christianity, Black Christianity, Hispanic Christianity, Asian Christianity, etc. We need to unite as one and then I believe that others who are not of the faith will be able to see the true meaning of Love and honor for man and our Lord and Savior. God bless us and keep us!

Prayer for our country and government leaders here and around the world. . . . Please stand with me in agreement with this prayer for guidance and deliverance for those who God has placed in authority over our lives.
Eternally sovereign and merciful Ruler of all that is and was and ever will be, blessed be Your holy name above all other names. I give You all praise and glory for the precious gift of this day and the bounty of blessings You fill it with, both seen and unseen. You are a magnificently wonderful God and there can be no one else like You. Thank You Father God for Your unconditional love and boundless grace and mercy that sustains us all. I come to You with deep concern but in complete faith and believing in Your infinite power and control over all of creation to ask for Your divine favor and blessing for our country and for Barak Obama, the new President of the United States and leader of the free world. Father for the very first time in the history of the current generation, we face a world of strife and crisis on almost every level of our lives like never before. Our government leaders around the world are scrambling to repair the breeches in the fabric of our society, from finances to career, to sustenance and our very existence, in order to restore a common sense of security that has never really been there without Your blessings. We desperately need Your intervention and deliverance from the perils ahead of us.
We humbly acknowledge Your divine control and providence over all the things in heaven and earth. Your word teaches us that You knew all our days before You laid the foundations of the world and so I am confident You have already prepared our way through these times also. Now that the elections are over, help us to refocus on our need to heal the bitterness and dissolve the animosities that separate us and come together as one people so we can direct our attentions and efforts on resolving the challenges we face. Lord, send down from heaven Your ministering angels to guide an protect each of us and our country from those who would tear us apart from the inside out with reckless violence. Jehovah God, anoint those who have emerged as our new leaders with clarity of thought and direction so that they can effectively attend to the affairs of all those they have been entrusted with. Reveal the truth of all matters they are required to make decisions about, so that they can govern with fairness and equity for us all.
Thank You again Lord for Your limitless mercy and grace that renews us daily and preserves us from all our trials and tribulations. We trust You and love You very much Lord and we can never thank You enough for loving us. Without Your love Lord, I know we would all surely perish. All these things we ask and pray in the precious holy name of our Redeemer Jesus Christ who promised us that whatever we ask of You in His name, You will provide according to the fullness of Your grace and Your perfect will and purpose for all our lives. Amen and amen

Dear Pastor Don Stewart:
Someone sent me your article on Facebooks and I have to say your discernments regarding this election or any election are right from the Spirit of God. Below is an article that I have written for Facebooks and a book that I am about to publish in the beginning of 2009.
I was born on election day when President John F. Kennedy got elected and when African Americans were first allowed to vote. And now I am proud to say that election day this year was on my 48th birthday, the day that the first African American President was elected to the highest office of the land. What a birthday present.
Eventhough, I did not vote for him or anybody at that, I did pray for him as God guided me to do, because obedience is better than sacrifice. I wanted to vote for Barak but God revealed to me that I would be more effective in my for him. God is so good. And I do believe that God put him in office for such a time as this for his name means:
“Blessed and beautiful One of God in Arabic”
One can google the meaning of his name. However, he was born in Honolulu for those who need to know the facts.
Ok, just scroll down and read the article and tell me what you think!
This article was written
by Rev/Dr. Shirley Canniff, M.Ed/Div
General Manager of WSTK-ITV
Media Missionary Team
Before I continue this note, I would like to say that I chose not to vote in the 2008 Presidential Election because both parties did not represent a clear prolife agenda and the Spirit of the Living God was calling me to pray, while other’s voted.
As a bi-racial multicultural person, and a woman in ministry, I believe that the Lord has been calling this nation to a Holy Standard for quite some time to form a more perfect union, and we have failed tremendously. This can be due to “the Jim Crow mindset”, a legacy of yesteryear.
Eventhough the Jim Crow laws of the 60′s and beyond for the most part have been overturned in most states regarding racial inequality, what is left is a spiritual scar/mindset fueled by the spirit of legalism and unbelief.
This mindset still exists in the minds of Americans as a racial construct or stronghold. This was behind the aparthied movement in South Africa decades ago. This term is also what was behind “segregation” and “white priviledge” of long ago. Well some of you are probaly saying to yourselves, what does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Well here is my answer. When the Jim Crow laws were abolished, the mind set still lived on in the soul of America. It seeped into the DNA of the American soul and took the form of institutional racism. What it also did was attach itself to the spirit of legalism in the church and it became the cultural mindset of America and became the great divide that is responsible for the division that exists today in the Body of Christ in the form of the “black church” and “the white church” as well as in different walks of society.
Even though this issue has been repented of within the hearts of christian leaders representing different parts of the Body of Christ as well as different culture throughout the various “Call Watches”. The mindset of America in relation to economic and racial injustice still needs to be dealt with because the battle is in the mind and the battle needs to be surrendered into the hands of the Lord by every American citizen because the battle is the Lords.
There are racial thoughts that still need to be cast down from our vain imaginations in the mighty name of Jesus, in order that we can see our brother or sister more clearly in the spirit here in America. And we have to do this one by one.
One way to tell the difference of whether a person is bound by this mindset is if they describe people in terms of black or white or if they ignore the good qualities of a person of color and zero in on the negative or what they think that they are perceiving. What they are perceiving may not necessarily be true because it may be based on third party negative judgments or thinking that are not based on facts but opinions.
Racial- inequality in the spirit regarding the soul of America still needs to be dealt with and put behind us. We need to take authority of the demonic realm that hovered over the Jim Crow laws. These laws for the most part were written off, but the attitudes that are intergenerational were handed down and translated into the American character or soul of America in the form of various cultural sterotypes and biases that exist today in the church as well as certain parts of society.
Let’s face it folks, eventhough, I might lose a few of you as friends there is a division that still exists between African American church leadership and Caucasian Church Leadership. You see this primarily in the protestant church circles and also the so called interdominational circles as well, where there is a black church and a white church. This division is deplorable to the Lord of Hosts. And so the song of misperceived unity still plays on until……….!
You see this behavior in prayer groups or ministries where someone had a word, or strong leadership abilities coming from an African American background, educated at that and came on the scene, like a President Elect Obama who is claiming to be a Christian with unique experiences in God and solutions to solving social problems that face human beings everyday and who are made in the image and likeness of God ignored, spat upon, looked down upon, spoken about like a dog and even lied about by other Christians.
My people, put away this childish thinking, the spiritual rubber water hoses my friends! Neither one of the politicians were prolife. John McCain was advocating the right for a woman to have an abortion in the case of rape and/or incest and so did Palin as well.
No matter what one wants to think the reason why believers did not feel comfortable in voting for Obama was the color of the skin and not trusting in his leadership capabilities or character.
Many well meaning believer’s have placed a judgment on themselves while judging President Elect Obama when you should be praying instead of buzzing around like bee’s.
So when it comes to working together on issues of prolife there seems to be a chasm between the 2 camps. Lets face it many of the babies that got aborted within the last 10 years were African American babies, because the abortion clinics were being funded by tax dollars and special interest groups primarily greedy republicans and these abortion clinics were primarily in African American and jewish neighborhoods.
Now lets go back a couple of decades ago when slavery happened and the civil war happened and the other wars as well, what about that blood. The blood that preceded the blood of the unborn still cries out.
I truly believe that the Jim Crow mindset that still exists today comes from spiritual work that had been neglected due to fear of racial equality on every level and too much emphasis on believer’s placing the other gifts of the Holy Spirit over and above the gifts of unity and purpose.
I believe that the Lord is about to do a paradigm shift in the mindset of America and he is using the younger generation, who knows nothing about racial prejudice. Racial predjudice is a disease of the mind set of the age group between 40 and 75 + for the most part no matter what subgroup you come from because of the time period that one was born into when those issues were prevelant.
I am even discerning that if we do not as members of the Body of Christ get into a place of taking complete authority over the Jim Crow mindset that still exists in some of our brother’s and sister’s minds here in America because it is generational then the judgment remains on us in the form of confusion and division and also in the form of a inauthentic Christian witness.
If this issue is not dealt with in a proper manner then all that people will observe is believers chasing their tails and going around in circles, never seeing clearly and always living in criticism, division and strife.
I also believe that the fruit of this has brought on a spirit of insanity that has manifested itself through various mental illnesses such as certain forms of autism, ADD, ADHD bi- polar disorder, maladaptive behaviors, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc. I am also discerning that this is accompanied by an evil spirit of unbelief and disunity.
God wants to break through all of this once and for all off of our backs as a nation and I believe that God put Obama in position so that this racial mindset can be healed and delivered once and for all in the Body of Christ. Once this happens then we as a healed Body operating in the mind of Christ through the wisdom of God can work together as one in solving the prolife problem and the other problems as well. For all life is sacred from the womb to the tomb, and not just for the select few but for all and that means that when human beings are born into this life, the racial hatred, back biting, fault fighting has to be way behind us!
If christian leaders do not make this a priority in this next 4 years then many leaders are going to fall along with their anointings.

Well Don, you asked me to comment, so I finally did. It’s Matthew, by the way
I like the fact that he was probably ordained by God. Heck, he’s probably a Setian too, but then again it depends on which one ordained him for that to be true, wouldn’t you say?
Anyways, he wouldn’t be president if a certain someone (Who has commented on this very page, in fact) hadn’t interfered. Maybe that makes him divine, who knows…

I strongly agree with Roy Tubbs. Everyone was looking at the economy instead of the moral issues.I agree with what God’s word says. In the beginning God made Eve for Adam not John. One of the commandments is thou shalt not murder.I don’t believe in abortions. As for Obama we are praying for him and his family.Hopefully one day he may come to know Jesus Christ as his Savior, if he dosen’t already.
November 8, 2008 at 8:53 pm |
well regards to mr roy tubbs… Abortion and gay marriage is really a choice, god doesnt stop people from the choices they make, so why should obama? did any other president put a stop to it? so why does it mean anything now that obams president?
November 8, 2008 at 11:58 pm |
I am glad that we have a president who demonstrate and exercise ethical and moral principles in the midst of constant attacks. I didn’t vote for Obama because he is black, I voted for Obama because he is democrat and that is the party I have always stood for. Regardless as to his color, if he had been white and a democrat I would have voted for him because I believe in what the democrats stand for.
However, because he is black I finally feel like the American dream has been realized. I am still disappointed that so many people are resentful that he is president. I think people would have received him better if he had been a white democrat/president. Some people are still not ready for change, they are too shallow to realize the vision that God has for ALL people.

I am African American and God has always taught me to vote the Bible. God taught me long ago, Matt. 6:33 saying seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and he would supply my needs, not man. Unfortunately, many voted for Obama to give them things and to make history, it is more than that. We have to pray about the judges he would appoint, because he has told us he would appoint those who would rule in the way most Christians have been praying against for years.
God also said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, that if his people would turn away from our sin, seek him, he would forgive us and heal our land. How can we repent of the wrong in our land, abortions, homosexuality, etc. and vote for someone who agrees with the very things God doesn’t like; even infanticide?
I will pray for Obama, his family and America, however, I followed this election very, closely, and I saw no qualities of the teachings of Christ. He IS so far from the Bible that he is called the MOST LIBERAL senator, EVER. He aligned himself with the most radical-America haters, felons, and murderers (one of Obama’s friends honored the one who killed Senator Robert Kennedy in a book he wrote); this was his life. Plus, there are so many questions he refuses to answer. There is a Court ORDER for him to produce an authentic birth certificate to prove he is a citizen.
He not only believes in partial birth abortion up to the day of delivery )too grafic to write here); the worst kind of murder that you can do to a ready to deliver child, he is on video saying basically let the babies die even after a botched abortion with no aid when others have lived to this day. He is against Israel and I saw how he lied to us over and over again about issues that could be proven.
Obama was catapulted into office by the mainstream media who wanted America to be a liberal-do-what you want-to-do-nation.
I know that God could change the heart of anyone and I will pray, however, I am not a proud African American because of this election and Obama has no executive experience. Based on qualifications for the office of president, Obama had none.
We have to face the truth, America needs prayer more than ever and what Christian would actually vote for someone with so many negatives? This is historic, but I mourned.
Sarah Palin is a Christian who suffered much persecution from those who wanted someone like them. She has a Godly character and qualifications for the office. The world cheered for Obama because they are afraid of a strong president and they perceive him as weak and compromising. I don’t know if he has heard the Gospel, because his pastor said that Jesus is not the only way and I think Obama said it also.
Obama is going to need someone to minister to him and get him on the right track, because it is going to take more than our prayers to take him through the world’s situations.
Should Christians now lower Godly standards for voting? Should we join in with the world and vote on the side of those who try to remove God from America? Do we have no standards, now? I will not yield to the extreme-type, I will continue to vote the Bible and we must not be confused by the hype.
Even when God deals with him, the reproach of running a thuggish and vengeful campaign will be with him from those who can’t believe it.
I believe God is going to bless his children for standing strong and voting the Bible and not the hype of making history.
We must pray that Obama’s “CHANGE” begins with him.
November 9, 2008 at 1:38 am |
I was deeply touched when I heard a little black girl stood out in a large crowd and said if Obama can become president I can too. God loves everyone whether you are black, white, half black or half white. He is for all of us. He died on the cross to set everyone free and it is his will that all of us prosper and be in good health irrespective of what race we are from.
God allows Obama to win and the rest is left to the people of God to pray for him and also Mc.Cain. They all serve their purpose but only one was appointed to or destined to be the president. I truly believe that God is bringing us together at a time like this when we need to realize that out of many we are one.
November 9, 2008 at 2:08 am |
Obama has shown to the nation that he is a Leader and that he is going to bring back the peace and the security of this country so much needed.
I have faith in GOD that everything will be GUIDED BY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER AND HE WILL KEEP OBAMA SAFE TO DO HIS JOB AS A PRESIDENT.
I keep him in my prayers
GOD BLESS YOU MR. PRESIDENT
November 9, 2008 at 4:50 am |
I BELIEVE GOD ALLOWED IT NOT THE VOTERS. HOWEVER, VOTING THE BIBLE’S WAY WAS GOOD.
HAVING SAID THAT, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY CHRISTIAN TO PRAY FOR THIS LEADERSHIP HEADED BY PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA
November 9, 2008 at 4:58 am |
WE WILL OBEY THE WORD OF GOD.
November 9, 2008 at 7:11 am |
Yes! Barack was ordained by GOD to become President.
Everything was in place for it to happen, it is part of Barack’s purpose and destiny. The hand of the Lord is upon him…and the prophets and women and men of GOD who the Lord has set to speak into his life are poised for the task. WE should contiue to intercede for this mighty man of GOD in this hour. Cover his family…and give him the wisdom to speak as God would have him. He is already gifted with the tongue of the learned. He loves the Lord and he knows who Jesus Christ is to him. The moral decay of this society is evident and Barack is well aware of it and addresses it covertly and has challenged the men in our nation to step up and be responsible. This is a mandate of GOD for men to be the head of their families. The hearts of the fathers are turned toward the children, as the Word says. No weapon formed against Barack Obama shall prosper. Now is the set time for God’s favor toward him! Praise GOD for all of his blessings for us and the USA! God Bless and keep you, President Obama!
November 9, 2008 at 1:19 pm |
Yes God ordained Barack Obama, just as He did the other 43 presidents of the United States and just as He did Moses to bring His children out of Egypt, Obama will bring us out of proverty, war, and unfair justice. There will be a change in the United States. We had blacks in the justice department, senators, house of representative and mayors, all this lead up to the President office. Just as God promoted Joseph, He has promoted Barack, Let praise the Lord and pray for our government to get better and for us as, We the people to come together in love.
November 9, 2008 at 1:43 pm |
I am so happy for Mr. Obama President Elect but yet there are still Christians and Non Christians who feel that a Minority should not have a seat in the High office. The issue is not of skin color creed or nationallity but of Intelligence bieng a true respected leader Doing what he says he will do for this nation and Keeping his promises for the the people. We must all pray for Mr. obama he was called by God to lead this country He was called to do what was not done in the last 4 years. God Bless America My home sweet home
November 9, 2008 at 6:45 pm |
I am glad that Obama was elected president, however not everyone feels that way. We still have a long way to go and that is because all minister are not doing there job in relating the there is only JEW and Gentile. The scripture you quoited need to be preach to all christain people, if we pray for the ones that are in authority then God can and will bless those in power to do what they are put in the office to do.
November 9, 2008 at 8:11 pm |
Truly God has ordaind President Barack Obama for such a time as this. For only God could have orchestrated such a powerful move. It has long been appointed that the “first shall be last and the last shall be first” We truly must pray for our new President and his beautiful family. And let us continue to pray for peace and the unity of all people to come together on one accord in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
To God be the Glory!!!!

My first reaction, as I had previously written about, was to totally agree with you; however, impulse shouldn’t govern our comments. After prayer, discussion with my husband, and reading Romans in context, we can NOT support Obama because of his agenda. PLEASE past this link into your browser and read this discussion on Romans at

I believe Obama represent a new type of President, his life and his education and his experiences prepared him for a more global political vision that will benefit not only United Stated but the world itself. He inspires good values and discipline and the compromise of growth to all who listen to him. He invites to the experienced ones to colaborate and work foward solutions. He has the chance to make healthy transformations in challenging times. God blessing him.

Dear Pastor Don Stewart,
I am very fortunate and blessed to have the chance to come and work here in the U.S. I am deeply thankful to the American government for allowing me to live in this beautiful land called “The promise land”.
Being a U.S. citizen, I give my loyalty to this country. To help, to protect and to fight against any enemies for this country.
I am a democrat but I voted for Mccain because I feel in my heart the security of this land.
Obama being part American and part Muslim,I feel uncertain, “Blood is thicker than water”.
Yes,Obama is ordained by God for a reason. He needs to be covered with prayers. He is going to face lots of pressure from everybody but he does not need to please anybody but he needs to practice his beliefs as a true Christian and be a good role mode of the young generation.
I sense more chaos coming. Is Obama put in the high powers to prepare for someone coming? are we prepared for the coming of anti-Christ?
Lets hold on to our Holy Bible and pray for another.
H.Somo
San Diego,CA
P.S
1. Pastor Don, I got a message from pastor Hart in the Inglewood that you’re coming Nov. 16. Its a miracle again Pastor Don. God sent you there for a reason. I don’t want to miss my blessing.
2. I need to talk to you about the old woman that appeared and disappeared in the church.
3. Do you know sometimes I can predict things before they happen? I can see something in visions that give me warning.I can see others can’t see.
November 9, 2008 at 10:48 pm |
GOD raised ,up set, ordain it there was nothing man could do to stop it, refuse it, or otherwise. why? because (GOD) his will must be brought about. oh! yes there will be those who don”t want it , but these are the LAST DAY”S. we will still see heartfelt problem, war”s but we will see the wealth of the wicked given to the GOD ELECT. I MY SELF give GOD GLORY for this impossible ,but possible with GOD that has happened. GOD could use a JEWISH MAN if he wanted WHY? because he JESUS is LORD> raymond.
November 9, 2008 at 11:24 pm |
Yes, I know and believe that President-elect Obama was ordained to be our next president. I actually got revelation in January, when I first heard him speak. The spirtit of God told me no matter what happened during the primary, or during the course of the election, when it is all said and done, Obama will be the next president of The United States Of America, eventhough they came to eat of his flesh, they stumbled and failed. Let God be true and every man a lie. God also said in His word, that the last shall be first, and the first shall be last. All praises be unto God, for what He has done. This election was bigger than Obama and McCain. This was a mighty move of God. Obama is the choosen vessel that God has ordained and have prepaired and choosen at such a time as this. God bless America.
November 10, 2008 at 12:24 am |
I thank God, for breaking the chains and allowing us to become a Nation unto God. We will make it with continued prayer and Warrior Fare in the spirit.
I keep this in my heart daily, write the vision and make it plan.
Love you!

Good evening Pastor Stewart,
Yes I do believ that Presedent elect Obama was ordained by GOD.
I know there are others who would not agree with me but it’s ok we have freedom of speech in America.
Like he stated he will be president to ALL of the United States.
I will continue to Pray for our leaders like WE HAVE BEEN DOING FOR
GENERATIONS.
November 10, 2008 at 1:35 am |
Rev Stewart:
I believe president elect Obama was GOD’S choice. Everything in his time not ours. We have a good man going to bat for us. We have to pray for him and his family. Thank you for the message.

I supported John McCain and Sarah Palin and am very upset over the outcome of this election. A lot of people did not like what Sarah Palin represented in abortion and her Faith. She has good principles and we need more people like her and John McCain to clean up washington. What religion or Faith is Obama? People what change and not God’s Mercy for the sinful laws Congress Pass. Abortion — Gay marriage . I do not trust Obama with this Country or Military Security. His words and message of Peace to me is like the forerunner to the one World Leader, soon in upcoming years, to appear known as the AntiChrist who also comes with a message of Peace. The Bible warns us of this when people are calling him “Messiah”. There is only one Messiah and his name is Jesus not Obama. I hope he does what he said he would do as President. I really do not feel like and American anymore especially when John McCain had military experience and suffered so much as a Prisioner of War and gave of his life for this Country with no regrets. I wish more people would have given him a chance.
November 10, 2008 at 3:09 am |
Ordained by God? I think not. Change? I think not. Our democratic congress has a lower approval rating than Bush, and yet all we did was give the democrats a monopoly in the house, senate and now the white house. This just means that the people that work hard will have less, and the people who don’t want to work hard, will get more time at the government trough. God helps those that help themselves, right? Where in Obama’s platform does personal responsibility have a place? It doesn’t. It’s only about what the government is going to do for you. Well, one thing for sure, the voters always get exactly what they deserve. Now that I think about it, maybe this is ordained by God; oftentimes his lessons are cruel.

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned, forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.”
~Luke 6:37
Look at the man in the mirror and find your own faults before you find faults in others.
“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
John 8:1 – 11
To all those who find this fault and that fault and he is this and he is that. Or he doesn’t believe this nor that.. Take time to look into yourself write down your faults. If you can’t find fault within yourself then you are ignorant. We all have faults. If you take the time to find so many thing’s wrong with a person either you have way to much time on your hand’s and you should be doing something to help your brother’s and sister’s in Christ. Or you are sinning..
And by the way gossiping about a person is a sin. The only way you know what President Elect Obama think’s for sure or will do for you is if you sit down and asked him.
I personally don’t believe much of what the media , (television or radio )newscasters report because it is their job to find negative informaion. If they found good in every person they wouldn’t have a job.
Most people believe gossip. If it sound’s good it must be true. Or if so and so said it has to be true. In today’s society degrading, humiliating, lies and deciet sells so much better then honesty and truth.
I can’t speak for GOD but I feel that President elect Obama has been covered by the blood.
There are millions of men could have been chosen to be the leader of our “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. (If you noticed I put the United in quotes because we are not united.) But one out of milions was chosen. Three years ago most had never heard of this man. He came from no where. Mr Obama, I think and pray he will help change . I know that some will never change, ( as the older folks would say they are set in their ways).
I worked hard and long to save for the day that I could retire and have something to sit back enjoy my grandkids, greatgrands and live a some what confortable life. The past 8 years have taken everything including the house that I thought would be my nest egg for the rest of my existing life.
We spend our lives concerned with what has been written in the book of life many many years ago. We as Children of GOD has or should have been taught that every thing that happens has been decided by GOD many thousands of years ago.
We have thousands of people who are sleeping on the streets, women children. Who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. But we look past those and won’t give them a piece of bread or a warm blanket to help through these trying times. And we concern ourselves with someone else says another will do.
If Mr Obama our president elect for the United States of America isn’t your choice then it’s time for you to look at the man in the mirror to do your part and speak up, say I as a American do not agree with your thoughts sir and please reconsider this. Or get out there and sign up for jobs on his website so you can make changes. After all he is the people’s president.. For the people by the people.
I have alway told my children, ” A closed Mouth cannot be fed”.
also I have always said when their is one finger pointing at one person there is always three fingers pointing back at you. Change is only done through you.
I stood proud standing in line to vote. I brought water for those who may have been hot. I gave support for those who felt I have stayed to long in this line and I about to go. I told the lady I stand in line to get groceries. I stand in line to get into Disneyland. I stand in line to do just about everything I can surely stand in line to change the way my life has changed. There were people whose only purpose to vote was regarding not allowing gays to be married. But they came out. I am proud to say I as a “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CITIZEN” decided I can no longer take 8 more years of a recession.
My son is doing his second tour of Iraq. His wife and him stood side by side in the first term. He has lost his home that they worked hard to get, and his wife and 2 beautiful daughter had to move back with her parents because they couldn’t afford life and yet he is fighting for his country for another’s countries freedom.
Oh no I am not angry. I am proud. I am proud that it could have been worse.
In closing again I again would like to say yes I think he is covered by the blood of Jesus by GOD to save his children. And that my brother’s and sister’s in Christ should stop gossiping about hearsay and start talking about what GOD says. And he says Matt. 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”
If it’s written in red GOD said it and that’s the law.
Love to you all and especially to President elect Obama in Jesus Name..

I am really thankful to God that Obama won, I know God put him there for a purpose, and I really thank God for you Don Stewart i know you are a man of God and your prayer are really helping me. I think obama will do a lot for the country and i know God Chose him for a reason.

I like Obama, because I believe in his brian and his ability , and also , I am very impress about his vice president selection, I believe they both will make a strong team together to make America a better country again!
To me, Obama knows what he wants and what he does’nt want. He definityly have a brian , no doubt! We have to choice someone knows what he is doing and also has a brian to solve the problems that America has.

As I have previously read and heard, every authority has been ordained by God. God’s ways are not our ways and whatever we do, we should do in accordance with the will of God and purpose for our lives. President-elect Obama has been installed for a purpose by God and the purpose shall be fulfilled for example when Moses was called for the Israelites in Egypt, he did not know what he was called for but was briefed by God and equiped by God and the purpose was fulfilled. So has this President-elect been called. May the Lord continue to use His powerful words until the whole world comes to the realization that there is God and no one can walk in His shoes.

this is my second comment on this blogg. i have read a lot of the diverse comments on here. it is amazing how a simple commentary could generate so much conflecting responses. it is hard to believe that we can all be right. before i continue, let me just say this, just hours before i received this e mail, i got a letter from rev. Don stewart, and he said that i have God given wisdom and that i see things that others dosent. this is something i have known most of my life. when i was a little boy i asked God for two things, i was short and i asked him to make me tall, and i asked him also for intelligence, i believe i meant wisdom, guess what, at one point i felt that i was getting too tall, and ever since i have had problems getting people to understand me, i am always the odd ball in every conversation. i still believe that president Bush is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. i know no one agrees, but i dont care, i see things that others dont
can every opinion be right in this blogg? as a rational thinking person with what i believe to be God given wisdom dont think so. it is true that what ever happens God allows, but that does not mean that God is in it or for it. i would never question the voice of the Holy Spirit, God forbid, but not every voice is the Holy Spirits. God himself said test the spirits and see if it is of me. obama might be stragitically places there as your new president but that doed not mean that he ordained. the Bible said that God is not the author of confusion. some say that God told them to vote for obama while others say they had to vote the way of the Bible. wouldnt God tell every one to vote the way of the Bible? dosent the Bible say that righteousness exhaults a nation but sin is a reproach to any peaple?
some of you also says that the election of obama is dr. kings drean coming true, i believe that nothing could be further from the truth. some years ago i went to florida with my wife and i made it a point of duty to buy some of dr. kings speaches on tape, i listened to them very caregully over and over again. dr king was anything but racial. nothing he did or said was racially motivated. dr. king couldnt care less about a black man becoming president. dr. king just wanted equal rights and justice for all men. on the other hand malcolm x, a muslem was raciest. by the way malcolm x’s mother and i are from the same country; the island of Grenada. so you see i have no biases, i am considered black myself, both my parents are multi racial, but the man was a nut! and so is Obama.
what ever your opinion on the election of Obama is, i have noticed a common theme which is i believe to be the right spirit, and that is that God is controll. and that is what sets us as Christians apart from the rest. we are a pequelia peaple. rememer though before saying God told me so, to always test the spirits and see if it is of God. remember it is a good thing to line up what you hear with the word of God, if it is in conflect with the word you might want to think again.
i am going to deliberately tick some of you off, I LOVE PRESIDENT GEORGE THE CURRENT BUSH, i still think that he is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln, infact i believe he is the greatest ever period, and history will prove me right, despite what the democrat controll congress and CNN did to sabotage his presidency. Now i believe that HE was ordained, and remamber according to rev. Stewart i see things that others dont.
a little food for thought; we Christians should never worry about the ecconomy, if we are truly christians, the state of the economy should not matter to us. our ecconomic situation is totally in the hands of God and is incombent on our obdience to him, and so we should vote on righteousness principles and not on ecconomic ones.
do you all still love me? i hope so. i write from the heart and not from my emotions, and yes i still love you all
GOD BLESS YOU
STEADMAN MIGNON

Barak is a biblical name found in Judges chapter 4 verse 6. This man is ordained by god to rule. He not only made history as the first black man the victory was quick and clear. Regardless of the pranks that the republicans played what god ordains no man can change. I just pray god continuous blessing on his entire family. Barack you desreve the presidency.

thank you Don Stewart maybe if some of the people in this blog had the same experience as you did they would pray for Barak i have read so much about what the Bible said in the Old Testament but not why Jesus came people should not look at Obama as a God he cannot save the world my personal opinion is i believe he is a Christian & he will step up to the plate & do what he is suppose to do as the next President of the USA i believe he is about issues that can be legistlated i’m not sure why some people are just now seeing or hearing about such issues as abortion/same sex since President elect Obama has been elected. since i do work in a hospital & this was going on before he was born does this make the issue right NO should the gov/state pay for this NO i believe immorality is a decision a person make so as aChristian i cannot hold Obama responsible for immorality because God & God alone will hold each of us accountable for our own sin when we close our eyes on this side Obama will not be with us we will walk this lane alone i believe he is a man of morales of (one) wife a great father & he will be a GREAT PRESIDENT i have always voted Democrate this one happen to be black by Americas standard thank God for the change when all the votes were in all the things that i experienced growing up all the negatives seem to have vanish for a short period of time but this i no God is not thru yet he is awsome & there is more to come this was not an accident it was truly ordain by him, man tried to stop it it did not work the machines tried to mess up it did not work red states tried to stop it it didnot work when they tried to close the poles it didnot work when God has a plan NOTHING can stop it so for all those people who think other wise now you no so do what GOD has ordained & pray for our country & the leadership which we forgot thats why we are going thru we have allowed other gods to creap into our country & put Jesus on the back burner but he will rise again if we as a country will put him first GOD BLESS AMERICA because this is a great country

I have learned growing up that god never gives his children more than they can bear, i think that placing Barrack obama in the presidency is his way of honoring that promise. for years we have been judged by the color of our skins, and i think that Rosa parks would be proud because she too fought for the end of discrimination to black people. God had a hand in this election and i believe that he will never bring him this far to leave him . God bless him and will continue to guide him. and remember always to pray for him and his family.

Rev Stewart, Obama is ordained and sent from God. You can see it in his walk and you can hear it in his talk. He is a true leader for all people. He has a heavenly and a peaceful way about him that says “I am not afraid, I do not fear any man, because God is on my side and it is time for change”.

I know nothing (I Cor 8:2). At first, I was glad Obama was giving Clinton a run, and then I saw him standing with her. Who knows? Certainly not me.

I don’t believe that Barack Obama was ordained by God to be the next President of the United States. I believe that it was simply what the people wanted (i.e., change at any price). In the Old Testament, Israel begged for a king, and although it was not God’s will, God sent them one by the name of Saul (who later rebelled against God’s commandment and had to be removed).
I believe this election was similar. We elected someone that could inspire the multitudes but that voted against the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act”, which would provide medical care to babies dying from botched abortions. He was also rated the most liberal of all 100 senators in America.
He has voted consistently for abortion rights. If a candidate does not respect human life, how can I trust him in any other area, since there is no moral equivalent of a human life? This issue of human life trumps all other issues including the economy, the environment, foreign affairs, etc.
Sen. Obama also also voted in favor of homosexual rights. If a candidate claims to have found Christ but votes in favor of homosexual rights, my conscience would not allow me to vote for him. We see in the Scriptures that God destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim specifically because of their homosexuality. The following scriptures emphatically prove that homosexuality is wrong: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:24-32, Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, and I Kings 14:24. For this reason alone I could not vote for Mr. Obama.
In addition to these views, Sen. Obama has had associations with the radical Rev. Wright (for 20 years), the terrorist Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko (who was convicted of fraud and bribery).
Last of all, Obama was one of the least experienced of any of the presidential candidates. As his own running mate, Joe Biden said, “The office of the presidency does not lend itself to on the job experience”.
It was Martin Luther King’s wish that people “will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”. I wish that more Americans had voted according to Martin Luther King’s statement instead of emotion, etc.
I am, however, required to pray for President-Elect Obama and I will pray that God will use him mightily and in a righteous manner and change his heart in the areas that he needs changing in. As Proverbs 21:1 says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes”.
May God continue to bless America.

Parsto Don Stewart,
You are a true son with wisdom and knowledge of God your father!
When I see the results of this election I am reminded of the chapter Daniel 4:34-37 my main focus is on verse 35.
“God doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhahitants of the earth” Some Christians need to repent publicly for their outraged comments and follies displayed during the pre election period. The things that truely concern us such as the President elect position on gay marriage and abortion we need to pray to God about. The president of all america cannot treat people who have individual preferences with disdain. However we the christians need to do as Heb.4:16 advise us to do. Sinners are in sin will act and do as their father direct them until we win them by our love with the message of salvation.
May God watch over the president elect Barak Obama and his family and keep them safe.

I voted for Barak Obama because I truly believe that he was ordained of God. I love the hope that he is bringing to this country, and I really feel that he is a God fearing man that we can trust.

I didn’t vote for Obama, but he is going to be our President, and I will give him due respect and support. My reason for not voting Obama had nothing to do with race, but party. I feel the Democrats have become much too liberal for my tastes. But I am praying that Obama can repair some of what is broken in our country. I have been married for 25 years, have one child, and a widowed mother I take care of. This is the worst year of our lives, 2008; as we have already lost everything after my husband lost his job. There will be no presents exchanged this year, we will enjoy a meal, and I am baking a cake that says “Happy Birthday, Jesus” on it. As far as the color of our skin goes, God created us all equal and that is how each and every person needs to feel, also. I am caucasian, and I am glad to see the first black President, it’s been long overdue. But I do not, cannot, and will not ever support gay marriage or abortion. Like I said, we have virtually lost most of what we had, but I will hold onto my true values and morals.

What if Obama is not a US Citizen? What if he is the antichrist in disguise who really knows!
He has pretty words, and know exactly what to say to make us like him, let’s see what he does or doesn’t do….I pray that God protects us all in the future from the evil that dwells in high and low places.

Church Finances
“Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase;
So your barns will be filled with plenty.” Prov 3:9-10
LORD JESUS, Where are my barns that are filled with plenty? For I have honored you with my possessions and with the first fruits of all my increase, and more?
Maybe “Obama” will play a role in the LORD fulfilling this aspect of my life and the work He has called me to do saying “Do my work and I’ll bless you”!
In the December 6, 2008 ,The Courier,”Sweet Hour of Prayer”,Page 3A a group of us with the District Attorney of Montgomery prayed for our leaders, and we will continue to pray for the President Elect Obama also. A Letter to the Editor of ‘The Courier’ was published on page 7A of the December 11, 2008 Issue entitled,”Is America truly ready for a minority President?, It posed some serious questions based on experience. What do you think? Do you care enough to investigate the matter?

There are other issues that even Apostle Paul rebuked Apostle Peter over in the church and it should not be:
The issue is his racial. My son was threatened to be lynched down here in Conroe,TX., and I’ve had my own experiences 1997,1992,1989, in Conroe twice and with Abilene Texas with racial profiling with law enforcement, and I was a deacon, a Preacher, and A Security Officer. My son’s situation was as recent as October 12-23,2006,The Courier pages 1A,3A for 3 issues and it was all over the news down here.If that happened to my son and I , there are people who hate the color of his skin that will try to kill him or assassinate him. Thats why you should care enough to look below the surface and read the articles I cited. If you cared you’d know, but you don’t care.
Apostle and Prophet, Don Stewart doesn’t have this problem, but many congregations and organizations have this problem. I’ve seen it and experienced it. If you desire ask me about it sometime..
The facts speak for themselves:
The Courier, Thur. Oct 12, 2006,page 1A,3A,’Racial Threat Alledged’, “CISD Investigates bus incident”; The Courier, Sat. Oct 21, 2006 “Quannel X to Lead Protest”,page 1A,3A;The Courier Mon, Oct 23, 2006 “Protesting Racism”,”Group Says CISD response weak”, Page 1A,3A;
Since this happened to me, it might happen to President-Elect Obama?Something greater may happen to him? thats why we should pray! These matters need to be discussed if not they will manifest in ways we don’t want them to. Civil Unrest! Martial Law!
